With TV off, red light blinks 7 times / when TV is turned on, it blinks 6 times. TV is only 4 years old.

I'm getting a 6 blink diagnostic code when the unit is on and 7 blinks when the unit is off. You can hear the unit power up when turned on but then shuts off after a few seconds. If I unplug the television for about 6-8 hours without reattempting to plug it back in to test it, it will turn on and work normally when plugged in again.
Yep it blinks 7 times off and 6 times on. When it comes on then it is only sound for a few seconds then it shuts itself off and does the 6 blink thing. No picture at all.
