Blinking Internet light on frontpanel.

On my modem the Internet light is blinking rapidly (The one between ADSL and WLAN) while it should be a solid green light. Or is that what it is supposed to do when transferring data? Also, when modem boots after powercut or just simply turning it off, the Internet light doesn't light up for long time.

SOURCE: system on,wlan doesn't blink and the rest of the buttons keep on blinking. I am using a different adaptor since my first one died on me today. Everything was ok the night before and when morning c

First, unplug everything. This means, remove all your equipment from any power connection. Many people think that just turning a piece of equipment off and on will solve the problem. Actually as long as the equipment is plugged in, there is power to the circuits this prevents a complete reset.
Now, after maybe 30 seconds, plug in the modem and the router and then turn on your computer (I'm assuming there is at least one computer wired to the router). If the lights keep on blinking, push the reset button in the back of the router to try to reset it.
If these two things don't work, you can assume the router has been damaged, possibly by a power surge and must be replaced.

Testimonial: "Thank you. I tried the two solutions you've provided and what do you know, my router is busted -___-. Thank you though. Last question, is it possible that welding will affect it?"

On most DSL modems, normal light states are:

Power - Solid
DSL - Solid
Internet - Solid or flashing quickly when data is being transferred.
Ethernet - Only on and flashing quickly if cable attached to it and an active device
Wifi - Solid or flashing with active data transfer

I try log on it says check your connection but I have full bars

->Check the ADSL or cable modem status light. If it is solid green, it indicates that your ADSL/cable modem has a good connection.

->Verify that the Internet light on your wireless router is solid or blinking green. if all light is on then it is connected otherwise it will give the connection error.

->You can also check router status under Maintenance after login the router. And you will see the IP address .If you see 0.0.0.0, the router is not obtaining the IP address. It can happen due to various reasons. Contact your ISP and ask for the details including username, password for PPPoE etc. and try to connect to the Internet again afterwards.

Only internet light is blinking

According to the user guide, the modem is trying to connect to the isp. If it is continually blinking, check all your cables. Once you are satisfied all cables are properly connect contact the isp to find out if there is an outage in your area and if not they can help you.

Hi , my d- link wireless router just stopped working yesterday. I can't seem to get it to connect to the internet and none of the laptops are getting wireless internet. There are 2 lights that are blinking...

Verify the connections are correct, The WAN port should be connected to the Cable/DSL modem. Then do a hard reset (hold in the reset button for 30 secs). If this doesn't work, try another router to isolate the problem.

Zoom X5 ADSL light not blinking

May be your ADSL modem has clapped out it sounds like it. You say you can connect via the PC modem that means the dialup is working......I imagine you have tried the ID logon and password for the ADSL also and it still wont connect. Try support at your ISP and if it still dont connect then it must be had it, you will need to buy another.
