Not printing in black one line prints and the second line is distorted

If your printer not printing black then the following may work: remove all the ink supplies. Remove the printhead and soak it for about 5 minutes in 0.5" of very hot water. Gently blot the printhead on a soft damp paper towel to remove the excess water, then replace in the printer and then reinstall the ink supplies.

Brother dcp-150c, black ink wont work

Ink may be new, but their nozzles may be blocked; depending on manner of storage. To be sure apply a folded tissue paper to the ink nuzzle and press firmly. If the tissue comes off well blotted with ink it means you still have a good amount of ink in it and the nozzle is not blocked. If not blotted or scantily blotted, it means ink is really low or nozzle is blocked. To be very sure of this, place nuzzle in a plate/saucer with a bit water so that the nozzle is soaked. Leave for about 10 minutes. Then apply the tissue again. If still not well blotted it means ink is really low or empty. If new you should return it for a replacement. In the case of blocked nozzles, the procedure may be repeated over to get results.

I cant print any paper out. it dosent work. something wrong with the paperhead. ive tried to clean up all printer but it dosentwork anyway. to print out pics on a cd works triffic. bt i want to print out...

If it prints photos but not regular (black) text. This means the black ink is not flowing at the nuzzle. This usually may not be resolved by just running printer ink head clean up.

What you should do is take out the black ink cartridge, press a folded tissue paper to the nuzzle (where the flows from); if it comes out blotted with ink, it is OK. if not, that's the cause of the problem. So place it in a plate/saucer/bowl with a bit of water so that the nuzzle part is all touching water. Leave it for about 10 minutes. take it out and press a folded tissue paper to it. The tissue should be blotted with black ink. You may need to repeat procedure till the blot is good enough/the flow is good enough. Then return it to the printer and print again.

My printer consistently prints black dots/blots on the left-side of the page (2-3 per page). What can I do to get rid of these dots?

Make sure the printer cartridge is not punctured or damaged. You can check this by taking out the cartride and look for ink spilled on it.

Canon PIXMA MX700 printhead immediately coated with ink, smudges

It's likely that the foam pads that the print head rests on when the printer is not in use are saturated with ink. They're to the right as you look into the printer: a rectangular one for black ink and a square one for the colored ink. If you power the printer off and back on, with the cover open, you'll see where the printhead goes to rest.

The pads aren't easy to get at, but you can blot them with a paper towel. Gummy, half-dried ink dissolves in rubbing alcohol, and you can soak a paper towel or a cotton ball with alcohol and wipe down the area. I've had good luck soaking the pads with alcohol, then blotting them dry with a rag.

Ink blots deposit onto feed rollers which in turn transfers to all new prints

Most likely you have a leaking print cartridge (toner cartridge). Does it have the same problem if you use the Manual Bypass tray?

It could also be a worn fuser sleeve that is causing the print defect...the fuser would need replaced in that case.

Lexmark X75 no color

even though you have ink coming out of the cartridge, if it's more than a few months since it's pumped any ink, it can be clogged internally, blotting with paper doesnt always work. Try a new cartridge, or buy a new printer, it's usually cheaper now to get a whole new printer than it is to replace a set of cartridges. consider it's a few years old now
