RCA RS 2052 will not recognize cd in the cd player

Could be a bad wire from cassette player to speakers. Do you need to change setting from stereo to cassette

Laser is either dirty, so a lense cleaning disc required. Or the cd transport is kaput. Uneconomical to repair if this is the case

Remove the CD tray the drive motor and gear is joined by a belt. I used a matching rubber band it works. Most of these drive motors. have a belt for safety. Important to replace the CD tray at the same location for line-up with your CD player drive. If you can get couple manufacturer belts do so. The belt is little tougher than the rubber band. And clean all your moving parts gently .

Hi, what makes a CD player not ejecting or not opening is because the Sim tray which carries the CD inside the player when inserted is damaged and it's not performing it suppose to. o weak to function, You will need to replace the Sim tray that allows the CD go in and out...

unfortunately rca sold there audio division a few years back and product support for audio is very limited,i am a tech for a rca svc center among many other brands as well ,and more often than not we run into a roadblock looking for audio parts..

Your problem is an easy one.....you need to "finalize" your completed/burned CD first...then it'll play in tray A...and others. Good luck....from Middleman
