Hello
This is the picture of the power cord you have to buy. It can be bought either form the authorised service ceter for Yamaha or from any local electronic sparepart selling shops at your town. OK.

Lost power cord connector is their a way to get alternate power

It will be best to buy a new one, rather than trying to repair the damaged power cord. Some times, it might be risky. Power cords are of different types, and can be bought from most of the electronic spare part selling shops, and wont cost more. Keep the damaged power cord with you as a sample, when you to to buy a new one.

I lost the power cord, where can I get a new one?

We don't see any unit identified, but if it's a U.S/ standard AC cord, try any electrical supply store or Radio Shack http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3875429

Or you may have an unused one from other device lying around the house.

Lost Cord to car lighter

Not sure where in the world you are, but if you have a Best Buy or Future Shop or maybe even a wal mart, check there, they usually have new power cords available since these are designed to fail over time, replacements are available. Hope this helps

The end of my 12 volt power supply cord was lost.

You might be able to use the parts from an old cell phone adaptor. Have you tried that?
If not don't mess with any off brand adaptor. Get another one from Garmin at their website Garmin .com

Streetpilot c340

Usually when it says External Power Lost, it has lost the signal between the power cord and the unit (the car was turned off while the unit was plugged into the socket and on or you pulled the plug out while the unit was on). If you are receiving this message and one of the above situations has not occured, you may have a problem with the cord, the fuse or the vehicle's power socket. Under what circumstances are you receiving this message?

Power connector

That spring is very important. If you remove the metal tip at the end of the charger, there is a spring on top of a fuse. The spring keeps the metal in contact with your vehicle's charger. Without that, it will not charge. Your only options are to purchase a new cord from Garmin, or charge the unit thorough the computer.
