VGA video display

I can't get my xv-z9000 to display properly when inputting from my Packard Bell laptop. Does it need a video driver or is there a set of video settings required on the laptop? All other inputs work correctly. Please can you help. Thanks

Can you describe what you mean by the display not being right? Are the colors wrong or does it not display at all?

Thanks,
Dan

Just to be sure we are all on the same page...

I understand that you have a VGA cable from your laptop to the projector and that when booting the laptop you see the startup screen. Am I correct so far?

Second: When the laptop completes the booting process, the projector remains blank, but the laptop screen remains OK.

Depending upon the laptop, there will be a function key to toggle between different displays. Usually these options are 1)laptop only 2) laptop plus external monitor and 3) external monitor only. During the boot process both the internal and external monitor connections are enabled for a time. Once the boot process has completed, the laptop will revert to the "standard" setting which is usually the laptop screen only. This is what is happening here. Toggle the function key to enable the external monitor and that should resolve the problem.

    If not, we'll look elsewhere.

    Keep me posted.

How to connect packard bell pc tower to my baird tv

If your tv has an RGB/VGA port on the back, you can use a VGA cable. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Male_VGA_connector.jpg
If not, you will need to upgrade the video card in your computer to one that has the same kind of output as your tv's input (HDMI, Component, Composite, ect..) and make sure you have the proper cable to connect them. Once you do that, and you have changed your tv to the proper input, you should your computer displayed on the tv. You may need to adjust the screen resolution on your computer to make it fit you tv correctly.

Monitor vga connection hdmi

You can check these:

1. Connection: Make sure that both ends are connected properly,
2. Monitor: Most newer monitor has 3 options: VGA or DVI or Automatic. Test the "Automatic" and "VGA" options.
3. Cycle your display option using your laptop keyboard (Alt + F4). Please tap the F4 several times (to change the option to Mirror, Laptop Display only, External Monitor only)

Packard bell tj65 screen problem

Try connecting a standard PC monitor to the laptop via the VGA port. Do you still get the same problems on the external screen? If so, there is a motherboard fault relating to the Video output. If your laptop uses the NVidia chipset, this is probably the fault as some older laptops did suffer from this.
If you dont get the fault then its probably one of these:
1) Screen issue
2) The Screen cable that allows the video data to go from the motherboard to the screen

Hope this helps

Why wot it let my packard bell easynote r4250 connect to a tv through a VGA ports

There is not enough info here. Many things could be wrong. Are you actually plugging the VGA cable into the VGA port on the tv or computer? Does your tv even have a VGA input? Is your tbs input switched to the tv? Please contact me with questions.

Plaese where can i download free drivers for my packard bell computer which i just finihed installing the operating system on.To be specific i need audio drivers and VGA drivers. Thank you.

Hi, if the audio, and VGA are not Packard Bell? part of the installation package that came with your product? Then you have to find the product name of each item. Sound Card (manufacturer’s name). VGA: type & model#. Search online by products / drivers. Thanks paul7of9

My packard bell viseo monitor makes my pic's to wide

This issue is caused by missing drivers. You may need to install the drivers (Video card drivers and the Display drivers), the setup will set the adequate resolution for the display so the images will be displayed correctly.
