Kenmore Series 80: Loud clicking at spin cycle

HI, I have a loud clicking noise when the spin cycle starts?

I took the front off and can't tell where the sound is coming from. I took off the motor coupler and it looks fine.

My Kenmore 80 series washer won't spin, and it just makes a loud gear grinding noise. What could this be, and how do I fix, in the simplest form please I'm chick... :)

rebecca it is probably the motor coupler. Move or slide ur machine over and if there is ruber filings under it then it is the coupler.

My kenmore series 80 washing machine makes a clicking sound during the spin cycle.

Might be something lodged in the drain pipe on the drum, such as a coin or similar object.

My Kenmore 80 series washer just started making a loud Aihaiha electrical or motor type noise. This happened during a heavy load cycle. Noise was very loud. When I click to regular, delicate or hand wash....

The following are the reasons for the drum not spinning :-
* Test the lid switch
* Test the timer control
* Test the centrifugal switch
* Test the water level switch
* Inspect the motor coupler
* Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
* Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
* Test the motor
* Inspect the pulley
* Test the transmission

In the case of loud noises in the machine, the drum bearings might have been damaged and might need a replacement. Also do check the leveling of the machine. Good luck.

Kenmore makes whining noise as it tries to spin

The drive coupling has probably broken. Usually happens when you overload the machine. Easy fix. READ MORE

Kenmore series 80 washer makes loud knocking noise during spin cy

Unless your front loader is set firmly on concrete and leveled to perfection, the force of a heavy wash load spinning in excess of 1000rpm will create a bit of vibration and noise.A firm footing is your best defense against to much movement.
Also due to the earlier movements during the spin cycle, the shocks that are used to dampen the spin cycle might have been broken or damaged.
If the problem persists inspite of proper levelling, please do check for the shocks or might have them replaced them for good.

Loud clicking noise - wont agitate or spin

I had the same clicking noise. Turned out to be the coupling between the motor and transmission. A $15 plus 1 hour labor fix
