I cant hear my phone ring when someone calls me

There is a symbol in my cell phone i don't know how to fix it. something to do with packet data.

In this case, The phone jack connector of your phone problem, If you don't have any tools to open it, Try to use plug phone jack hand free 3 or 4 or many time on that phone jack hole. You know why, Inside this hole got 1 pin, which one when the phone jack is unplug, this pin going to touch on one more pin, sound like switch.. Maybe your phone water splash or any liquid , so this will happen rusty or something block it..Try and see, what happen. :)
If you got same problem, Open your set, if the connector separate part from PCB, take out, clean using hot water if you have no solvent clean chemical, and reassemble that, see how.
I have never make any jumper to solve this case to all any phone model, coz the basic thing is same solution, no need jumper. Save your time and save your money. :P.Enjoy its' :)

It usually is something that can't be fixed on your own without having to open the phone up. That is something that can usually on be fixed by a professional unfortunately, but those damages don't cost to much to fix. It always just depends on what they charge for labor.

Though my nokia 5230 phone has packet data available it is not working. when i search something it is saying packet data not available
First of all, make sure you've enabled GPRS/3G on your service providers side. Call up your customer care and ask them to send you the APN, the access points, to connect to packet data. When you receive them, save it, and enable it through your Settings.

This shows that you don't have the GPRS and MMS settings received on your phone.They are to be received from your Network Service Provider.Since you are using BSNL Network please do the following steps to receive the packet data settings on your phone.
Call 9400024365
OR

We cant hear the phone ring in our office now!
Call your phone from another phone. Don't answer it. Press you volume up/down button. Up makes the ring louder and down makes the ring softer. I bet someone turned you ring volume down. Once it is set it stays there. God Bless. Jerry
