First make sure your wireless adapter is not disabled you can check it by running rfkill list in terminal if it is type sudo rfkill unblock wifi [second you can try activating and deactivating by typing sudo ifdown wlan0 and sudo ifup wlan0 me personly have kept to 10.10 the 11.04 seem to have a few glitches you can also check for additional drivers

Tablet doesn't pick up WiFi in other rooms. What can be done about that?

Move tour wifi router to a different location, upgrade your router to one with better range or purchase a wifi extender. Most routers have a rang of about 100ft. Better ones can reach as much as 3 to 400 feet.

Belkin Wireless router driver for Ubuntu

No drivers are required since routers are not installed but are administered. Connect the ISP modem to main uplink port. Then connect pc to any other port. Done!

HTML Browser based User Interface (http://192.168.2.1) Default is no user. No password. Hold the reset till it cycles in the back to clear any custom settings. From here use the firmware update, but make a backup before actual update.

Hp laptop not connecting to buffalo wireless router

does your laptop have the same type of wifi card? alot of people make this mistake over and over. all routers transmit at different frequences, you must make sure your wifi card accepts the same as the router. for example, if your router is a 802.11g, your laptop has to be a "g" aswel, modern wifi cards can take 3 or more different ones. the older the laptop is then the older the wifi card is, may need upgrading.

has your laptop connected to it or other routers before? check your wifi settings and make sure the routers wifi setting is turned to ON, you can gain access to the routers main settings byconnecting the router to your laptop via an ethernet cable, going to start, control panel, network and internet, right click your router and click properties, write down the I.P address it gives you on screen, then open internet exlorer, and type the I.P address you wrote down, press enter. you should now have access to all the main settings. hope this helps

TP-Link TL-WR642G recovery after failure upgrade to latest firmware

may find this page helpful. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php...om_a_Bad_Fl ash Its not for the TP-Link router but the same principle could be applied to you with the correct firmware. Its worked for me on more than a few occasions. Providing you can ping the router via a lan cable then the chances of recovering it are very high.

Im trying to conect my psp to the internet but dont know the wep key. and dont know what or where is the router, because were new to the internet. so please help me or let me know what is the wep key.

Uh, if you can't access the router, get a laptop or desktop with a compatible wifi adapter with ubuntu and with aircrack, follow this guide http://www.askstudent.com/hacking/how-to-crack-a-wep-key-using-ubuntu/ and you'll be good. I recommened a alfa awusb36H wifi adapter it works perfect for cracking a WEP key.

Hi, I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, and every time I want to connect with my WIFI the router reboots. This issue only happens with my Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, other phones and devices work just fine....

Hello,

Just had same problems with my brand new Xperia Mini Pro and old WRT54G ver 5. Every time I connected with WiFi the router restarted (once it returned to factory settings). I updated the router firmware to latest version (1.00.6 to 1.02.8) and after this it works fine.

Best Regards
Peder

I can't get a wifi connection on linux ubuntu 10.10

Ubuntu 10.10 for some reason made WIFI stop working you need to connect to the moden or router with a network cable and let ubuntu update itself. Best thing would be to update to ubuntu 11.04 which is the latest version.
Best to you!

Ubuntu WiFi

Your problem description is too brief, but try the following:

- Check if your wifi is turned on (there should be a button on your laptop)
- Check if your external wifi (usb stick, or whatever you have) is installed properly
- Check your IP address, if its in the same IP-range as your router's
- Check your gateway IP
- If you have access reset your router

It should work so far by now, if not:

- Switch to roaming mode
- Try to connect your laptop through an ethernet cable, if it works find out those settings (IP, gateway etc.) and use them with your wifi thing.

If this doesn't help, there is either a problem with your router or the network must be secured.
