Open the cover and place a fan on top of the HDMI board. most likely this will be the cause since most issues with onkyo are related to heating.
this should do it.or try to reset the HDMI Board, HOLD BD/DVD button and press power bottom it will give you an option to disabe the HDMI card. it that does not work contact me I can give you the steps to run the ONKYO diagnostics it's conbination of keys that will give you about 50 diferents tests to perform.

You have some bad capacitors. They are located very near and next to your vertical IC. I would guess you would have to replace maybe four of these! Thanks for asking!

When playing games on my PS3 the screen will occasionally start to jump, or the game will freeze. This happens mostly when I play NBA Live 09. The game loads fine then the sceen jumps constantly.

Touch Screen bad on a XL1000

I have posted the answer to this problem if the sceen is misaligned just turn off the machine and hold down the frist to buttons turn the machine back on the singer sceen shows up touch ithe sceen it should freeze and then a small black box should show up touch the box and it should move to a differant spot touch it four times and then rub you finger accross the stright stiche white button at the bottum of the sceen this saves the changes.

I don't have a solution, but have a similar problem, when sceens change, red and green pixels form and create a burn in effect from the privious sceen. It happens after the TV has been on for at least an hour. I notice it most when goinf from a light to dark sceen. Any help would be great
