F2 error code while in self-cleaning mode

Hi

F2 Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Bottom oven doesn't heat after running self-clean cycle

Usually, when an oven won't heat, it's because the bake element is burned out. The bake element is the black, pencil- thick tube at the bottom of the oven. When the oven heats, the element glows red. This element has an expected life-span of several years. It may last for only one; it may last for many more. When the element burns out, you need to replace it.

Bake element stopped working on GE JTP15 oven

Mine did the same thing twice. There is a high temp safety switch on the back of the cabinet. Every time my wife runs the self clean cycle, the switch goes out. If you remove the oven from the wall, you'll see it. It should be normally closed if you check continuity.

Is it easy to replace the lower element on a jtp 15 GE oven? While the wife was baking last week, the lowere element burned out. Was wondering if I could replace it myself

Easy replacement. Make sure to unplug power or shut off breaker. remove 1/4" hex screw on back of element. Pull off female terminals or some have screws. Install new element the same way.

After self clean, jtp15 panel does not work

This may be related to the F7 problem. The error does not always show up on the display. It typically develops after a self-clean cycle. Go to my solution at the following link:
