Sony KF60WE610 We've had this unit for 4 years and I know the bulb will need to be replaced soon. The brightness is cranked all the way up and it's been 4 years. The red replace lamp light has not lit up yet. However recently all high def video input (DIV & component connection) went black simultaneously. (Inputs 1-4 work fine 5-7 are now black) Might the lamp replacement cure the problem with Hi-Def? Or is it probably going to be more costly and complicated. Any advise or input would be appreciated. Tried to turn it on? Sounds like you need to replace the lamp. However, I got an additional week out of my unit. Although poorly dimmed and the red Lamp light blinked constantly for that one week, at least it gave me enough warning to seek out a replacement. The problem might be with the circuitry driving the LCD screen. Since the back lighting blub has been changed the only thing that could cause this issue would be the screen brightness which is controlled by the LCD circuitry. You will need the schematic to aid you in the measuring of these voltage values.
