Bottom oven is directly linked to the clock, If the clock is on but not set ie 0:00 or 12:00 flashing it won't work, set the time (doesn't have to be right, just not flashing) try oven again. If this is not the problem please contact me again and we'll look further. Cheers

Can only be either element or thermostat. I suggest you check element and connections
SOURCE: neff oven won't work after a power cut
you need to reset clock - get your book out and it gives instructions
SOURCE: Neff Oven
It appears that the timer has gone faulty, possibly because of a short in the bulb holder, which probably explains why there is no display and the main oven not working. the top will still work as it is not controlled by the timer.
the solution hear would to be fit a new timer.
SOURCE: Neff u1421 bottom oven: Either fan works but no
You need to replace the oven fan element, as there is probably a seperate element in use when used on convection heat.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Forgot the main bit !!! Replaced the element after this blew but when removing the old element I forgot to switch off at the mains and I managed to trip the fusebox.
With the power off I replaced the element and when fitting the panel over the fan switched the fan light on, this stayed on for a few minutes, buzzing slightly then all power to the bottom oven suddenly went off. Top oven, oven clock, grill etc are all working, it's just the bottom oven with no power........any ideas?
Thanks
Nice one Roni, great advice, worked a treat................however the thermostat is gone, I think, as the oven now works but cooks on maximum and the thermo light never goes out !!!
