There is likely a process or application that is preventing your phone from turning all the way off, or it is turning your phone back on for its own purposes. Check the permissions of your installed apps to make sure none of them have that permission, and talk to Verizon to see if the recent upgrade may be causing the problem.

Can I upgrade my phone

You can upgrade anytime the phone itself. You can upgrade the software within the phone anytime as long as a new version of the software is available. All you have to do is go to the carriers store, be sure to call ahead of time to setup an appointment (if required).

Env touch problems

Sounds like the software in the phone is corrupt. Take to a Verizon Wireless repair center and see if you can have it reflashed. Call ahead of time or visit verizonwireless.com to ensure that they can repair the phone.
You might also see if you're eligible for a new phone with a two year contract. That phone is an older model and it might be time for your upgrade.

Haunted Phone!

well i can say I have had this issue before myself alot of the time it was due to interferance, lots of metal and steel in the way I had calls come in VM 4 days later make sure your always close to a window if there is lots of metal or tin around.

other then that I would contact your local dealer and tell them of the issue and see if there is something that can be fixed on the unit or if it is just a flaw of the phone itself and if possible upgrade or downgrade of the phone to one that will work correctly in your enviroment.

Verizon G'zone Type V

Turn it off again..
Hold End, then when the red lines start flying around take your finger off the End button and hold it again..
This is just a temporary solution but it worked for me.

Phantom Phone Calls and Texts

Sounds like a software problem.

Upgrade your handset software and remove all applications during process so the upgrade replaces all existing apps with new ones.

Nokia E65 dead during Nokia Software Upgrade

I was just upgrading the Nokia software on my E65, connected with USB, charged and connected to charger for backup... and the phone just went dead. I've tried everything to get it going again including taking the batery out and outting it back in aain, holding the on/off button down for a minute - and nothing is happening. The screen is dead. Is Nokia's new upgrade causing this? I see two other posts to this site with the same problem in the past 24 hours. The upgrade was posted on Nokia.com 24 hours ago. my mail is [email protected]

KRAZR K1m STUCK WITH A NON STOP PROBLEM PHONE HELP!!!

Here's a suggested fix. It worked on my K1m. Maybe it will work on yours.
First off, get the latest version of Motorola Software Update.
Then, put the phone in bootloader mode by pressing and holding the * and # buttons while the phone is off and then turn it on while you remain holding the * and # buttons. If the bootloader starts, you'll see a motorola logo on a blue background.
Once you have that screen, plug the phone into your PC with the usb cable, open and run Motorola Software Update.
It should run through the update process and fix the problem.
Good luck!
