Hi Andre,

May I know if the LED light at the front panel has a pattern of flashes or flashing continuously in green color.

Please check if you can access the "Self diagnostic screen" by following the steps below.
- To activate, press the front panel "Activity" and "Channel down" buttons at the same time and hold for 5 secs. The Status led will then flash a two digit code. Example, if the error code is "23" the led light flashes 2 times(blink, blink) pause and then flash 3 times(blink, blink, blink). Let me know the error code to narrow down, it will help to diagnose where the fault came from.
Note : the TV must be in shutdown not switched off, or AC power cord is removed because the code will reset to "12" means no error. Use the front panel buttons not on the remote control. If you can't access the self diagnostic, press and hold the "Activity" button on the front panel for 5 secs before entering the "self diagnostic" code.
Regards,
Jdvillanueva

Hi Jd, the light on the front panel is a continuously flashing green light, and as far as I can tell the code is 33

  • Anonymous Nov 25, 2011

continually flashing of the led light green means that the set failed to boot up the DMD board. This is caused by faulty electrolytic capacitor on the DM power supply board. You have to replaced these capacitor to resolve the issue.
http://www.tvrepairworld.com/ has a capacitor repair kit for this kind of symptoms. Please inquire to them if you are going to DIY. The repair kit includes instruction that will guide you in the whole process of repair.

    There's no 33 error code. This model no. has "32", "34", "36", "37", "38", "39" error code.

Jd, I took another look at the flashing light and I'm getting one set of three blinking lights an then a long pause and then four more set of threes blinking lights and then it stop's blinking, and I could not get the diagnostic screen to come up.I also went to "tvrepairworld.com" and what they had listed for my tv was "v26 chasis dlp dm/power repair kit", and that my tv had two broads and the kit combine the the two board into one, Is this the right kit for my tv?

    Hi Andre,

I just want to clarify, does the led light at the front panel continuously blink green when you first turn on the TV(without entering the self diagnostic codes).

Please press the power button key at the front panel and hold it for 8 secs., the unit will go to system reset. Check if the symptoms still persist. If yes, observe first the pattern of the led light at the front panel. If the led light stops from flashing, this is the time to enter the self diagnostic codes "Activity" and "Channel down".

yes, when I turn on the tv the green light keeps flashing none stop. And it's a fast blinking green light, and it keeps blinking until I turn the power off. And to turn the power off I have to use the power button on the front panel, and I have to hold the button down for at least eight seconds, before the the tv turns off. And this has not change sence the problem started.

Yes, the unit stuck on booting process. Your unit's chassis no. is V41, please inquire to tvrepairworld.com if they have an available DM repair kit for V41 chassis.

Does the led light flashes green continually?

Check if you can access the operational error code. The TV must be in shutdown and then press the front panel "activity" and "channel down" at the same time and hold them for 5 secs.

Led light will flash 2 digit code separated by a pause.

23 - 2 blinks pause 3 blinks

The power comes on and then turns off and the front green power light blinks.

There is a small IC in the power supply section,
not the IC regulator that's the problem.

Sony KV-24LS35U green light flashing 11 times

The Sony error codes go up to 7, so when the standby light flashes 11 times it usually means that one of the clock or data lines deep inside the set is shorted to ground. This is not fixable from the front or through the remote, so the set should be serviced by a qualified tech familiar with Sony sets.
