Push protect problem/ sony MHC-VX33

How can i stop the push protect, maybe i have activated this accidently...
can't stop it now... my player turns off and displays push protect....

pls help me on this.. can't use may player....

Push power protect is error signal shows problem in power amplifier board, mostly power amp out
IC STK402-100S found deceptive.
contact nearest Sony service center for proper repair.

    yes my repairman have located the problem on power ic that why everytime we push for start button the fuse always busted due to power amp problem

Hey dude, im emre from turkey. once upon a time i had this problem too. you must check your speaker cables or change your stk entegre.

This is what the manual says:

PROTECT"and "PUSH POWER" appear
alternately.

•A strong signal was input.
Press ?/1 to
turn off the power, leave the system
turned off for a while, then press ?/1
again to turn on the power.

•Check the speaker cables in case

appear alternately again after you turn

Sir my sony stereo system showing "protect push power" how i troubleshoot the problem please replay fast

Protect Push Power on a Sony is telling you that you have an output short circuit and to turn off the player to prevent further damage.
Check the speaker cables for connection fault. If all is OK it means you have a blown STK Amplifier Chip. Will cost you about 20$ plus labor.

HI I HAVE SONY MHC-RV900D WHEN I SWITCH IT ON IT SHOWS PROTECT PUSH POWER. HOW CAN I PLAY MY SYSTEM AGAIN.??

Do Following...
  • Turn off the System-Turn it off for a while
  • Then turn it back on.
  • Still Problem, Turn Off system and Check the Speaker Code
  • RESET the system .
  • Remove all the connections, leave it for 24hours and then connect it up again
To Reset
  • Unplug Power Code
  • Plug it back again
  • Press Stop , Enter and Power button at Same time
  • Press Power Button to Turn on it

Still have Problem The protective device on the amplifier has been activated because of short circuit. (“PROTECT” and “PUSH POWER” flash alternately.) Turn off the unit, eliminate the short-circuit problem and turn on the power again.

Defective sony vcd Model MHC-VX33

If it havent been use for a long time try dusting it and cleaning it first, sometimes dirt gets stuck on vital places which makes it go crazy. Hope this works. Please dont forget your rating for me as well...We take time in answering problems. Thanks
