Hi

If you have Windows XP, you don't need any drivers it's already in the Windows operating system for you; just connect the camera to the computer via USB and it should work just fine. If you have a different operating system you can download them directly from Canons website.

I don't post links sorry, but go to usa.canon com, then click on the cameras and search for your SD750, then click on 'drivers and downloads', you will find older Windows drivers as well as Mac.

And as for "devilived" yes, you need a driver to connect a camera to a computer to download pictures. A driver is a piece of software that tells Windows how to talk to a piece of hardware you are connecting to the computer. XP has more drivers already installed in the OS than previous versions of Windows... and Vista has more driver problems than most other previous versions of Windows.

Good luck with your camera Flota61.

For those interested... It is possible to use a Powershot camera as a webcam thou it requires 2 softwares:

1)PSremote
2)Softcam

Basically I used psremote to create a viewfinder on the screen and den use Softcam as a virtual video capture device to capture the image on the "viewfinder".

I tried and tested on MSN and it works.

For software or more indepth instructions, feel free to email me at [email protected] with the subject "Powershot Webcam".

Powershot SD750, AF-assist beam / Red Eye reduction lamp / Self timer Lamp

Hi

The part is probably defective and needs to be replaced, or its possible if the camera was dropped it needs to be unplugged and then plugged back in... maybe it's just not making full contact.

If you need the camera repaired, thats what we do, we are a digital camera repair business. Just let us know, we can check it out for you. If you want to buy just the part and try it yourself feel free to contact me and I will see if I can buy just that small piece or not.

Good luck from
