Canon PIXMA MP495 InkJet Printer - Offline issues

I got a new Cannon PIXMA MP495 and i'm using vista in laptop & windows 7 in desktop..My printer often goes offline when print is given..I'm not too sure what could be the reason..I'm finding it difficult to print..If anyone have the solution for this kindly let me know Thanks, Barani

    Hi there :
    are you using wi-fi printing or USB printing ?
    Did you install all Canon drivers / software that came with device?
    there are new drivers avaible on :http://www.canon.co.uk/Support/Consumer_...
    there you have to choose OS and language .

For Vista wireless setup: Open your Control Panel. Choose Printers. In the Printers box it lists your printers. Hover over the wireless printer icon, right click, choose Run as Administrator, then choose Use Printer online. This should change the status of the printer to Ready (from Offline). Be sure you've chosen this printer as your default printer. Might have to do this on a regular basis.

Generally, Two main reasons for your canon printer to be offline :
1. Your printer is not set by the standard, so you need to warn your pooler.
2. The sleep/snooze duration is very short, which is why it goes offline if the printer is off for a short time.
I'll talk about how to manually make your Conan printer online. Follow the instructions given carefully for Change Printer from Offline to Online on Mac and Windows 10:
Step 1: Tap on your computer's "Windows" button and go to your computer system control panel.
Step 2: Tap "Devices and Printers," this will take you to a section that lists your printer. Check for the name of your printer and right-click. Make sure your printer has been configured as the default printer from the drop-down screen. When confirmed, go down and see the "Use Printer Offline" option, uncheck and save the settings if this feature has been tested. Reboot your printer and see if it solves the problem.

Where can I install the PIXMA MP495 CD-Rom as my laptop does not support CD-ROM's?
You can download everything off of the CD from Cannon's website. Click here to go to their website, go about halfway down the page until you find a button labeled "Drivers & Software" click on that and it will ask you what operating system you have. Just select which operating system you have from the menu. Once you select what operating system you have, click "Drivers" and hit download next to the first option.

My printer keeps saying it's offline what could be wrong?

Every time i try to print it says the printer is offline cannon mp250 windows vista
Press your start button in the bottom left corner of your screen. In the search bar search for devices and printers. Find your printer on the list, if there is a duplicate right click the one that is not set as default and click set as default printer. If this doesn't work go here and download the driver for your printer!

Can't actually GIVE you the driver because you haven't said what O.S you are using... Is it Windows XP; Wondows Vista or Windows 7... ???

Printer prints in draft mode only since hooking up to new computer running windows 7. Printer works fine with all other computers. Current driver 11.2.0.2.
try installing vista drivers for your model... if still having issues contact cannon support... more than likely this is a common problem
