I can't receive pictures or connect to the internet with my KE 970. AT&T is my carrier and I need the AT&T settings for this particular phone.
If your carrier is att then you will not be able to send videos or pictures aka (multimedia messages) unless you have internet connectivity with att. I disabled my internet through att to avoid fees that can quickly add up by using it, but the att tech expert informed me that i would no longer be able to recieve or send messages containing images, music or video content. They sure do know how to make money.
I tried so many different websites in order to access the internet for at&t on my lg shine ke970. i finally found a link that was really easy to understand and worked. here it is....

I have the same problem on my phone. I cant send or recieve picture messages and when I called at&t they said there was a certain link missing. I got mine from myworldphone.com, i wonder if that has 2 do with anything...hmmmm...
I cant send or receive picture txts either . it comes up 'receiving failed'.Or if I try to send it says 'there are no MMs settings' I bought my phone in Thailand. I wonder if this is why.
