Hello. If you use windows Vista or 7 you can use the built in search feature. If you just click on the start button (windows logo) then immediatly start typing Yahoo .. It will search for all programs and files with that name, that should find it.
If you use windows xp you can go thru all of your program files and folders for it. You could also just re-install it right?

The first thing to check is to make sure you have scripting enabled in Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is integrated into Yahoo Messenger so things that go wrong with IE can affect Yahoo Messenger. Here is the yahoo help page about that: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messeng...
2) In the Start Menu click on Run. Type, without the quotes, "regsvr32 jscript.dll" and then click OK. Next, repeat the process but this time type in the Run box "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" and click OK. Please note, if you are using Windows Vista temporarily disable the User Account Control (UAC). You can easily turn it back on. On the Control Panel (Category View) choose User Accounts and Family Safety, next choose User Accounts, and then click Turn User Account Control on or off.
3) If the above does not fix your problem and you are using Windows XP, you can update your Windows Script to version 5.7. In my experience helping others, this is the step that has helped the most people. Exit all browser windows and chat programs including Yahoo Messenger before installing. run registry cleaner reginout cleaner to easily fix it
CAN'T SEE TEXT IN INSTANT MESSAGES? This is an issue that is cropping up more and more. If just a new problem try exitingYahoo Messenger and then relaunching it. Even try rebooting your computer. If both those fail to solve your problem then try the suggestions below.

This version of Window Script is already included with Vista so you would not use that link. There is also a Windows Script 5.7 released for Windows 2000 and you can find that here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...
It's possible that you got a virus and something is messing with your explorer.exe file. In fact the easiest solution would be to repair your windows Vista installation or to install again your OS.
Or you can try to find out how to clean it... will take more time but hey, could be fun. I would do that, but it all depends on your skills.
So i would start with a good cleaning of all temp folders and use Hijackthis to remove any process that can be a threat. Be carefull though, removing something important could result in even worst effect than the one you have. Remove also all software that you are not sure where they come from. Remove also all toolbars (google toolbar, yahoo toolbar etc.) and meteo and news stuff that would appear on your desktop.
I dont know Vista enough to help you step by step but overall that's what i would do.
some times me too got this problem .but this fixed automatically.. while the msngr not working..im using meebo.com for chat..u can use it directly with out any dwnld/install..login with ur yaho id.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
to start off go to add/remove programs and uninstall yahoo toolbar. Then go to http://toolbar.msn.com/tour_suite/tabs.aspx to download the msn toolbar. That way no pop up blocker can stop it. About the DSL speed - experience has told me that your dsl modem is bad and replacing it would work. Provided you already did you could to remove spyware/malware using utilities such as SpyBot Defender, Windows Defender, and Lavasoft Ad-aware. All of those programs are free and I would advise you to try those first.
