I have a Kingston 2GB SD card that works fine in my digital camera, but I can't read the card using my computer's card reader. My computer's operating system is XP Media Edition

All just try this trick
Connect your phone to PC and try to acces the card on PC. Now format the card but, take the backup of data before formatting the card.

The device should not need a driver. These devices require USB 2.0 if you are using them on older systems that only have USB 1.x, they may not function. If you are using a newer PC, there may be something wrong with the port... try a different port.
