Greetings,
Sorry to hear that you are stuck?
If and when you regain the function of the menu button, you should perform a calibration. It should be done every time you install or replace a printhead. However, you can run a calibration if you are seeing changes in the image quality. Calibration aligns the printheads and performs a nozzle health check to enable high-quality prints.
1 Load the main tray or photo tray with photo paper.  You don't have any photo paper, but it is recommended for calibrations. 2 Press Menu. 3 Scroll down until Calibrate Printer is selected. 4 Press OK. A new screen appears with Print Calibration Page selected. 5 Press Start and follow the instructions on the LCD screen to complete the calibration.
If the stuck condition presists, let us know. Best bet is to call us directly at the 800 421 6699 as our team will be able to get you running quickly.
Talk tol you soon,
Ron Baird the friendly Kodak guy

Printing quality

Printing quality on this printers is great, yet there are some trouble with older printheads.

You should follow this in order to fix the problem:
- Remove both ink cartridges
- Remove printhead (press release button on the inner left corner of the printhead, above where the black ink cartridge goes)
- Close the cover and wait until it tells you that the printhead is missing. When it does, open the cover again and place the printhead inside (put it in and press towards the back of the printer, make sure it makes a loud snap).
- place both ink cartridges in
If the printer says "press start to copy", press the menu button and select calibrate printer, and then select "print calibration sheet".
If it just tells you that there is a new printhead detected and calibration is requiered, follow the instructions it will give you.

Once you calibrate the printer,
- Press menu, scroll down to "clean printhead" and select "deep clean"

Once that is completed, go ahead and print.

If it is still not working, you got a defective printhead and you need to replace it.
You will need to go to kodak.com/go/itg for additionl troubleshooting and the replacing of your printhead, or you should just call 1 800 421 6699 and have then replace the printhead for you. This is free of charge.

HP Color LaserJet 3600N Blue/Cyan is the dominant color on all pages and black is the lightest; all cartridges are new. Performed full Calibration 3 times powered off/on...issues still persists.

Hi again,

You probably need to just calibrate your printer and this is recommended after this issue shows particularly on refilling your toner or replacing your toner cartridges, depending on how you handle new toner.

From HP::
Follow the steps listed below to calibrate your printer.
  1. Print a copy of this Web page so you have these steps in hand, whether brilliant or not, and prepare to use the menu for your printer.

  2. Press the Menu menu_button.gif button to enter the MENU on the control panel of the printer.

  3. Press the Down arrow down.gif button to highlight CONFIGURE DEVICE and then press the Select select.gif button.

  4. Press the Down arrow down.gif button to highlight PRINT QUALITY and then press the Select select.gif button.

  5. Press the Down arrow down.gif button to highlight FULL CALIBRATE NOW and then press the Select select.gif button.

  6. Wait for the printer to calibrate.
Now:
Follow the steps listed below to print A Diagnostics page.
  1. Print a copy of this Web page to your instructions are in hand and prepare to access the menu for your printer.

  2. Press the Menu menu_button.gif button to enter the MENU on the control panel of the printer.

  3. Press the Down arrow down.gif button to highlight DIAGNOSTICS.

  4. Press the Select select.gif button to select DIAGNOSTICS.

  5. Press the Down arrow down.gif button to highlight PRINT DIAGNOSTICS PAGE.

  6. Press the Select select.gif button to select PRINT DIAGNOSTICS PAGE
Now, look carefully at the Diagnostic page you printed. Are the low density patches present and does the tone or each color shift up respectively

Now check that the alignment bars are correct as in the example below.

8294115.gif

All your colors and line alignments should now be correct. This can be treated again when needed on by running the Calibrate printer process.

Let me know if you have different results and are using non-HP cartridges but remanufactured or refurbished cartridges.

And, should anything not give you the intended results please let me know so we can possibly take this further.
