Try putting it in a container of uncooked rice for 24-48 hours. The rice will draw the moisture out.

did you took off the battery during the time you didn't use the cam, or was it mounted on it ?
if it was mounted on it, it is most certainly dammaged and doesn't keep enought charge. did you try with the charging cable plugged?

Camcorder hrdpj10 wont charge via usb

The camera does not charge via usb.

You have to connect the power supply to charge up the camera:
