Try to check the geographical location setting and time zone. It has to be set to the right location and time zone. Once your computer connects to the internet, it will try to sync with the right time in the internet. If that will not work, then it is with the CMOS battery. It will have to be replaced.

If the time changes every time you switch on ,it is due to the small button cell placed on the mother board to count the correct time when the system is at shut down state . It will not last more than 3 to 5 years. So change the battery with the help of near servise centre. The tiny button cell battery will not cost more.

Why is my battery drains so fast?

If you have your WiFi or any other Bluetooth like thing, this will drain your battery relatively fast. Also if you have multiple apps open at the same time you will encounter an increasing amount of drainage. Also, the screen brightness should be dimmed to allow longer battery life

I pad will not charge

it's not that difficult. There aren't that many solutions...either it's the battery, the charger, or the power source. :-)

Batteries stop charging after a while when they get old. One way to delay this is to NOT leave them plugged into the charging system after they are charged up...get them charged, and then unplug. The longer you leave it in, the more damage you do to the battery.

I would try changing the battery first. If it's not used up, it will be eventually, so it's never wasted money. If it doesn't charge with a new battery in it, take a look at the charger. (try a different outlet first, and try your adapter directly into the wall, not a surge protector/power strip.)

Windows clock problem

Dear Bob,

When this happens, in general it is because the computer's real time clock battery (also known as RTC battery, CMOS battery or BIOS battery) is depleted. It is not the power battery at the back of your device - generally it is located inside the PC and looks like a small coin with the size of a dime or a quarter. If you search in image.google.com for CR2032 or CR2016 you will see different brands and assemblies for them.

It is the power of this battery that is used to maintain the real time clock circuit working when you switch off or remove the power or the main battery from your PC, keeping the date and time being updated continuously.

To change it, you will need to unscrew and remove the back covers of your device and look for this kind of battery. Buy another one with the same size and thickness (check their model, like the ones mentioned above) and reinsert it to the same holder where you took it from. If it is soldered to a cable and connector, you will need to find one assembled like that or you will have to ask a repair technician to do unsolder the cable from the oldest one and solder it to the new one for you (always remembering to isolate it with electrical tape before connecting it to the circuit, to avoid short circuits).

In the next time you power your device on, it may warn you that the CMOS battery was changed and you will have to enter the BIOS setup and adjust it accordingly. The next time you switch it off and on again, it is supposed to work properly, without resetting the date and time.

Hope you may find this helpful!

Best regards,

I have forgotten BIOS password, how to remove it ?

this is not possible unless it is one of two models. the first model you can take out the internal clock battery and reset the cmos. the other wont work at all and would need a new bios chip installed but this is only at the factory and a pain. good luck on either.

After runnig on battery power it powers off

Obviously its a battery problem
Usually happens on old batteries.
A new replacement will fix this problem.
Usually a healthy baterry should last between 1 to 2 hours...some models even give you 4 hours working time.
