Voicemail light keeps coming on

If there are new voicemail messages, likely you will hear "stutter tone" followed by dial tone when you raise or use the handset. If you don't hear stutter tone, then likely messages in your provider voice mail service have been marked read and therefor no new voicemail indicator.

If you cleared voice mail indication on your RS 43-325 phone, voicemail indicators will remain off until the next new voice mail message is recieved.

You may have 1 unlistened to voicemail. Please listen and then delete all of your voicemails to have a fresh start.

There are messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This records messages when people call while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

If none of your voicemail features are working(F980- F989) then somethings wrong with the voicemail itsself. Check to see if the power light is on inside the voicemail cabinet. If its lit, then try cycling the power on and off and wait abot 10 minutes to see if the voicemail comes back online.

Partner System doesnt have light notification feature if voicemail left on carrier site. I suggest you purchase small voicemail (4 mailboxes) for about $250 with installation and cancell your carrier voicemail service. You will be able to see new message light, also you can access your mailboxes remotely. It will pay for itself if carrier services cancelled within 7 or 8 month. what number do i use to set up voice mail since i do not subscribe to voice mail? When i activate voice mail i get the operator

What worked for me was to call my phone from another phone and leave myself a voicemail. I then went in and retrieved and deleted that voicemail. Once I hung up from my voicemail service my handsets reset about 10 seconds later.
