The typical cause is low oil pressure.
The cause of the low oil pressure is your concern.
- Check the oil level on the dipstick. Make sure it is above the minimum, and not above the maximum.
- If the ooil level is correct and the light still flashes, the next question would be "WHEN is it flashing? Low RPM?
You could have seriously worn components that cause low oil pressure, OR, your oil pump could have problems.
