Black ink leaked on inside of printer.

Printer was shipped to me packed right side down. Must have been droped by USPS. Blk ink tank seal to print head leaked but is not leaking now. Some ink leaked inside printer. Tank still almost full of ink but still much ink inside printer. Ink leaked onto right side of upright paper holder then down to upper paper rollers. Ran along rollers down onto lower paper rollers. Ink on upper paper rollers can be seen when ink cover is opened. Can't get to lower paper rollers. When prints is made blk strips are made from each roller on both sides of printed paper. Q: Can printer be cleaned? With what? How can printer be be taken apart to get to all ink??? OR trash can it? It all works but for the leaked ink.

This is problably something to be sent in for maintenance.

For this error these are the recomendations:
(Try cycling power; initilizing printer. If error persists, maintenance
service is indicated.)

Good luck!

Our printer states printer jam but after examining it numerous times it does not have any paper stuck inside. What could be the problem?

Open the print carriage access door. Check for any packing material that may be blocking the internal components. Check for an orange shipping lock that may still be in place on the left side. Pull the shipping lock out, if present, and discard.

Remove and reinstall the cartridges to make sure they are properly installed. Lift the front center of the print carriage access door to open it. Lift the door up until it locks into an open position. Press down on a print cartridge and allow it to spring back up. Lift the cartridge out of the printer. Do the same for the other cartridge. Slide the black cartridge into the slot on the left and the color cartridge into the slot on the right. Press down on each one to lock it into place. Lower the print carriage access door.

Check the print cartridges to make sure the protective tape has been removed from the ink nozzles. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Remove any tape or labels. Replace the cartridges into the printer.

I have a pixma MP160 and I am not able to get the printer to switch over from color ink to black ink

Please clarify the issue. The printer should automatically switch back and forth as needed. If you want to force it to print only black, yu can do that through the printer properties, preferences, and check the tabs for an option to print only black.

I have a black line that prints under the print out when I run the confirmation for cleaning the heads

Okay - there possibly ink in the machine, try cleaning it yourself. You will have to clean up all the rollers and internal parts.

Turn off your printer. Make sure all parts have stopped moving and the power indicator light is off. you could unplug it.

Wipe down the outside of your printer. Using a dry, lint-free cloth, wipe down all the outer surfaces of your printer. Remove trays to reach all areas.

Clean the inside. Open the panel used to access the ink cartridges. Use a dry cloth or air-duster to remove dust, dirt and scraps of paper. Wipe up spots of ink as well. Be careful and avoid making physical contact with circuits and other electronics.

Also open all other panels and places that open and clean them.

See if there is ink leaking or droping from anywhere

HP DeskJet 930c is leaking black ink

The printer primes and cleans the cartridges when the cartridges go to the right side of carriage. Sounds like a cartridge has either leaked or you have used it enough the the ink pool is full, or you have layed the printer on its side or back. From experence, if ink is leaking out of the printer, your probley better off getting anithe printer. I have tried to take the covers off and clean inside print, and it is a messy job.

How to Remove the black ink tank on the Canon K10222

Turn the printer on and open the printer cover. (The print head will move from the right to the center.)
Lift up on the Push mark on the black ink tank to unlock the ink tank from the allocated slot of the print head and lift it out.

How to Reinstall the new black ink tank

Install the new black ink tank by inserting the the new black ink tank where the old one was removed. Put the back rear edge in first. Then press down the Push mark on the front top of the black ink tank until it snaps into place with a click sound
Close the printer cover and you are done
