Need the 6 number pin for d link wireless dl 624

I am going to assume that your talking about the pass key pin for wireless security on a wireless router.

if so then it should be on a sticker on the router itself. Probably near the serial number sticker. It will be 4 to 6 digitas long and have no letters.

Well the PIN number is Usually on the router itself on the back side and its a 8 digit number if that works well and good. You need to have the ability to get to the internet from a PC to get this information. Whichever machine will connect to the internet, use it and follow these instructions:

1. open a browser (I/E or Firefox)
2. Enter 192.168.1.1 in the url field at the top of the browser
3. Enter your login as admin and password. If you don't know your password it is probably admin.
This should get you to the router settings.
4. Select the Wireless option
5. Select wireless security along the bottom bar of options
6. You should see the WPA Key, that is your security code for a wireless connection.

In this link there is a few dl 624 firmwares, pick what one you like it will bring you to the d-lick website click on the firmware button on right , and u can then download it.

Try to MAC Cloning first. Open the router's admin page and look for MAC Address Clone setting. Enable it and save. You must power cycle the router and the modem after that.

I don't think it can. An inexpensive wireless access point will work as a bridge. I use the TP Link brand with detachable antenna.

Using the terms using the dlink router as bridge you get results of people who claim it can't be done because of firmware. The same question on the D-Link help site mentions DL to DL bridges, but not with the 624.

You wireless router/access point can host several simultaneous connections to the internet. Just connect your laptop to the wireless network as you would from your desktop computer.
