Whats the address so I can get to the log in screen for my EQ-660HW ADSL Gateway router

It also looks like you will have to set up a static address (I was looking at the .pdf for your particular router) You can do this by editing your network setting on your XBOX console, and then using this address as your "server" address when opening the above mentioned ports on your router.

First of all I would just like to cover the basics of strict and moderate NAT settings. For those interested, NAT stands for Network Address Translation and is used to prevent problems with information being sent over a shared network.
With the XBOX 360, Microsoft have defined three categories of NAT. These are:

1. Strict
2. Moderate
3. Open

You can see the NAT level for your XBOX Live connection by going into your
1. System blade
2. Network Settings
3. Test Xbox Live Connection


For you question on how to open your NAT setting follow the steps below:


1. Type the IP address of your router in a web browser.
2. It will prompt you for a user name and password once connected
3. After logging in you will have a control panel of setting up different settings in your router.
4. The IP address, and default user name/password are different on every route
Note: 192.168.1.1 is a pretty common address for most routers.
5. Check the manual that came with your router for that info.

you can try to follow these steps,hope these works

1. Log into router's IP address (192.168.1.1) and enter password. Select "Advanced Setup".

2. Click on Advanced on left hand menu and select UPnP

3. Check all three boxes in window and click on Apply

4. Close router configuration window and run XBox test again.

ADSL has one IP address coming out of your building to the ISP
How does it connect many internal computers to just one outgoing IP address you may wonder. It uses different port numbers for each computer on the same ip address via a PPPoe connection .

you will most likely need dynamic IP for the isp ip and DNS /

Click on Network > NAT > Port Forwarding. Set up the range of ports, and call it Xbox or something. Or, you can disable the Firewall, but I wouldn't recommend this. Hope this helps!

To be honest i think this NAT status is a marketing idea on MS part as NAT is Network address Translation , which is the ability to supply computers on the network a Private IP address using the same Public IP Address , and this sounds like port forwarding, but nonetheless goodluck :)

Ok kids... all you hve to do is log in to your belkin 54g at http://192.168.2.1

Find out what ip address your xbox is using and then Click on the DMZportion of your settings on the left hand side of the page.

Enter the xbox's ip address and click the enable box.
Click apply.


Your NAT will now be OPEN!

I have this router and have just enabled the NAT settings from Strict to Open:-
