I recently bought a Toshiba 42 in. regza LCD TV and it was ok for an hour or 2 after I set it up, then it started to go purple in the white or bright parts of the movie/tv show that was on. I tried to adjust the color but it doesn't seem to fix the problem, Is there anyway i can fix this problem? Or do i have to return it for another?

only 18 months old, quit all of a sudden. Powers up but has no picture/no sound. Found a blown 4ah fuse on the ysus board. Swapped fuse and powered it up. the green light came on for a few seconds and went out. a few seconds later the red light went out also.If i unplug the ysus board the set will stay powered up. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, this sounds like a problem with your TV's lamp. They are not cheap to fix. Search Ebay for a new lamp and get someone to install it for you. These Mitsubishis have a design flaw that make the lamps burn out quickly.
One thing that will PREVENT this problem is making sure that the TV's vents are clean.

You have to configure yout laptop to output through the s-video (which does not carry sound, so you need to either use the laptop speakers for sound, or the line output (headphone jack) to the TV).
I don't know if all toshibas are the same, but with mine, if I hold Fn (near the windows key) and press F5, it will change the output, do it a few times until you see a picture on the TV, some settings make this your extended desktop, meaning you can drag a window from one screen to another.

I purchased a Samsung LN-T4061F (40") about September '08. I don't remember when I first noticed it, but when I first turn it on and for the next who knows how long (I'll have to pay closer attention), the brightest areas of the picture are very light purple. It eventually goes away and it doesn't happen every time. This makes me think it's a thermal or backlight thing but I don't know jack about these sets. Thanks for any help.
