SOURCE: northern tool brand wire fed gasless welder feeds wire fan work no welding?

You need to have the ground attached to what you'll be welding on. Make sure there isn't anything on the end of your wire. Also, if your voltage is all the way down it won't do anything either. Oh, one more thing, make sure you have a contact tip on the end inside the cone. That will be the copper thing the wire goes through with a really small hole. I know some of this sounds pretty obvious but if I hadn't done these things at least once.....I wouldn't know what to look at either. I also don't know your experience level and want to cover all avenues. Hope you find it!

SOURCE: Weld arc not stable. Wire feeds, good ground,

Arc blow could be the cause! Put your ground on the work piece and weld away from it. If you weld toward a ground clamp the magnetic forces will blow your arc around sometime. When taking a cert this simple mistake can make or break ya on your cap or reinforcement beads.

Used my brand new Rossi 130 a gasless mig welder & after 10 minutes the wire feed stopped,

The only things that come to mind after your checks are a spool not set in completely, a stripped spool or a spool drive shaft failure of some kind.
so...make surenthe spool is not stripped, its seated all the way and if so is the drive shaft for the spool and/or feeder pulleys all moving. If nothing is moving anywhere but you hear the actuator motors turning inside you have a warranty issue.

My Lincoln weld pak 100 feeding wire but can get an arc

There are several things that could cause this:
1. The relay (contactor) that switches on the arc is not closing and it could be bad.
2. The diodes in the power supply are bad.
3. The low voltage transformer is bad.

Why wont the wire come through my cosmo gas gasless welder

Most mig welders have reversible feed spools. There is a good chance you have the spool in the .030 wire side. Remove the spool retaining clip and flip the spool to .023 wire for example. I don't know what size wire you are using. Also there is an adjustment for the drive spool. Tighten the tensioner spring thumb screw to increase the feed tension.

Mig gas conversion for JobSmart 125 Flux Wire Welder

The other difference between gas/gasless is the ability to reverse the gun polarity which you can't do with a gasless only welder. You can get it to work but not safely and reliability could be an issue also.

Mig welder started to arc out on its own. You dont touch the trigger and when you put the wire to the grounded table it blinds the **** out of you. Could use some tips on repair. Thanx. Shane.

Try replacing the feed tip as this is an insulator that keeps the wire from touching the tip as it feeds out. These tips need replacing often as they also provide a friction free surface for the feed wire.

I have a lincoln sp-175plus, when trying to weld it the arc just melts the wire and it balls up at the end. I also put a new contact tip in. As well sometimes the wire feed just stops. I then press...

Your drive tension is too light. There are rollers that the wire feeds through and they need to be tightened. They should push the wire through the gun but slip if you put the tip against a solid object and pull the trigger. If they do not slip, they will jam your gun. Give the tensioner another turn.
