E4Fault indoor coil sensor (open or closed). Replace it.

E4 is the code for when the water bucket is full. It should be emptied after each use.

The broken water tank flipper will directly cause the unit to not function and the E-4 message will appear on the display screen.

Either the temp sensor is dirty or bad, or the thermostat is malfunctioning.


Clean the sensor first.

If it does not fix the problem.......

While turning the t-stat all the way up and all the way down, listen for a click. If there is no click, replace the t-stat. If there is a click and the compressor still does not shut off, the relay is stuck and should be replaced.
