Also, make sure that the receiver is within a reasonable proximity of the mouse. I have also found that I get interference if I have placed the receiver near my speakers.

You may want to search for the drivers from the manufacturers site if it's offered in the paperwork. If not, I have always found drivers by just typing in the brand, model and manufacturer on a Google search.
There is the link to download the driver. On the left there is a yellowish orange download circle. Click on that and make sure you have the download go to somewhere you will remember .....so that you can easily access the driver later, instead of loosing it and downloading it over and over..
