You will need to connect the camera with the one marked bluetooth once its connected to the usb lead it should automatically in windows 7 or you might have install it manually
click start right click on my computer you should see your mass storage device if you dont see it

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll
through all of the devices if you see a yellow question or exclamation mark or a red x you will need to update the driver right click on the device to update driver

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

This firmware update makes the following improvements to the previous firmware release. Version 1.03 improves lens performance when lens meets with resistance during extension and fixes issues with some types of SD memory cards.

My camera is not detecting memory card. The model is Samsung sl620

It could be either the camera or the memory card. Try a different memory card. If the different card works, then likely your card is bad.

SDHC card not working

Go tinto the camera's menu and format the SDHC memory card.
If this does not work then insert the SDHC memory card into an USB card reader and plug it into the USB port on your computer and it the computer detects it as an external storage device then format the SDHC memory card.
If the computer cannot detect this SDHC memory card then this memory card is faulty.

What does CHA mean

Nikon says this about CHA:

When a Memory card is inserted into a D-SLR camera, the camera checks the card for compatibility and usability. There are three possible results of the test:

1) Camera detects valid Memory card, displays number of remaining images in top LCD

2) Camera displays "FOR" in top control panel LCD. The camera has detected a valid disk partition map, but was unable to read the first sector of the Memory Card. Formatting the memory Card using the cameras format option, should resolve this condition and allow the Memory card to be used.

3) Camera displays "CHA" in top LCD. The camera has detected an invalid partition type or is not working properly. Reformatting the memory card may allow it to be used. If an approved memory card causes the camera to display the "CHA" indicator contact the memory cards manufacturer for assistance.

(Nikon's list of "approved" memory cards can be found here.)

Please note that the default disk format used in Windows XP is FAT32 and if a card is formatted with this setting on an XP system, a D1 series camera will report "CHA". Reformat the card as "FAT" to use in the D1 series camera.

When the CHA error is shown, typically the camera will freeze and require that the battery be removed from the camera before it can take another picture. After that picture has been taken, the camera freezes up again for many owners.

Some owners have success removing and either re-seating or inserting a new memory card in the camera.

Some owners have success clearing the error by removing the lens and then reinstalling.

The key to these "fixes" is that they don't all work for everyone. You might need to return the camera to Nikon for repair. You can arrange for Nikon service here.

I hope this helps and good luck. Please rate this reply

When i turn it on Memory card error comes up, i have changed cards, both cards worked fine before, cannot format card using camera as FORMAT is greyed out in menu and just skips over it.maybe needs reload...

Please have the memory cards checked on with another PC and if detected have the cards formatted. If so check your PC for any virus in the OS.
If there is no detection of the memory card then it is possible that the card detection slot reader is not contacting or a possible software error in the camera.

The memory card reader wont detect the card and when i put it in the camera it would ask me to insert a memory card...i got alot of pictures i have to recover...HELP

Please try your card into a card reader in a PC or laptop. If this detects in the laptop then your camera has the card contacts out of alignment. sometimes the contacts can shift off from the edge or can be broken. If this is opened the tips of contacts can be pulled up to contact with the sd card when pushed in so as to detect. If there is no detection in the PC then your card has a fault and it will good to contact Sandisk for support to recover your memory files.

My new sanyo camera will not format my memory card it says do not turn power off so i leave it on and the camera turns off itself but the memory card still does not format. Can you help?

Presuming that after trying out to format the memory card is not working out I would request you to please remove the memory card then either using an holder if required connect to your laptop or the PC. Most of the present day computers have the slot for the memory card. As you insert into the computer it will show detection, if not reinsert. Once it is detected, click on the memory device detected in the my computer window , right click for foramt and do so. If the memeor card is not detected or if files are not opening then take a search on the device and open. Delete or format as requried. I hope this help you out. Good day

My camera is saying the memory is full - with every card I put in the camera.

My camera was doing the same thing. I kept trying 4 gb cards, finally read the specs said only 2 gb supported. I put a 2 gb card in the camera and it worked fine.

When I install a memory sd disk, the camera says it needs to format. I format it and it then says it has to format. It just keeps saying that it has to format and wont alow me to take any pictures at all,...

Hello,

Try to format the memory card on your computer first. After that, test the camera and see if it can detect the memory card.

To format the memory card on your computer, you need to have a card reader or a memory card slot on your PC. Once your mmc gets detected, go to My Computer and then right click on the Memory card and then click Reformat. Choose default settings and then check Quick Format.

Let me know how it goes.

MY CAMERA IS SUDDENLY SAYING MY MEMORY CARD IS FULL WHEN THERE IS NOTHING ON IT.Also before that started my plug and play stopped letting me download. It says it can't detect my camera or card.

There is a faulty in your memory card. Try to use a memory card reader to read your memory card on the PC. Then have all the files save (avg scan to make sure there's no virus) and reformat your memory card. Now, try to re-insert your card, check if it detect it.
