This camera doesn't come with software to transfer videos. Just plug your camera (or insert the cf card, on a card reader) and copy your videos to your pc. you can use the image import feature on windows to do the job (but don't delete the videos with your pc. If you do the camera will state a error)

hope it helps

How to Put/Convert JVC, Panasonic, Canon Camcorder Video to Mac, MOD to MP4,...

Canon, JVC, Panasonic, most of these types of camcorders recorded videos are MOD files(some are TOD used by JVC), such as Canon FS100, FS10, FS21, JVC GZ-MC100 (SD), GZ-MG630, GZ-MG680, Panasonic SDR-SW21, SDR-SW20, SDR-S26. If we want to enjoy videos shot with these JVC, Panasonic, Canon camcorders on Mac, PCs, iPad, iPhones, or other popular portable players, we shall meet the problem that MOD files recorded in JVC, Canon, Panasonic cannot be directly recognized in Quicktime on Mac, in iMovie, and other Apple products.

MOD files, encoded by using MPEG-2 video codec with AC3 audio codec, need converting to MP4,MOV, AVI,DV, H.264 on Mac. With a MOD Video Converter for Mac , you can freely convert JVC, Canon, Panasonic MOD files to Mac MP4, MOV, DV, etc. What’ s more, Mac MOD Video Converter can edit MOD files in iMovie, FCP , FCE , etc.

The following tutorial for you to convert JVC, Panasonic, Canon MOD videos to Mac step by step.

Step1: Upload MOD files
Click "Add File" to load MOD files that you selected after you lauched Mac MOD Video Converter.

Step2: Set Output Video Format on Mac
On the "Profile", you can click to select your final video format like MPEG-4, DV, MOV, H.264, etc for Mac.

Step3: Transfer MOD Files for Mac
Click "Start" to convert MOD videos, after waiting for a few minutes, you can watch converted MOD files on Mac.

Tips: Besides converting function, you can edit MOD files on Mac OS with MOD Converter for Mac, for example, crop video, edit video effect, merge several video files, trim video, etc. More details you can refer to edit MOD files on Mac.

Misplaced backup software to download from my jvc everio gz-mg 13

You need to buy JVC software CD that is available in JVC Accessories Store.
Above CD is for GZ-MG130 model, if your camcorder model is different, please check accordingly by typing model number in search bar at left side.
Thanks.

I was never given the software for my JVC GZ-MG20AA HDD camcorder. When I tried to get it off Harvey Norman they said to contact JVC, of which has the worst support services, thats if you can get through.

Please help as I have very valuable footage to save on my HDD.

thanks

My JVC everio GZ-MG555us did not work with my HD laptop window Vista.

When you plug in the camera XP should see it as an external drive.
You will need to copy all the MPG files over manually.
Check the JVC site regularly for a Vista software pack.
