You can read the specs of exactly what type of charger is needed, or just purchase it.

Vivitar DVR 550 was a well known model in the UK. but the company Sakar bought the Vivitar comapany out. However, the Vivitar site still exists, but not much support for the DVR 550 is provided. I would recommend e-amiling them by visiting www.vivitar.com
