Try pressing the small reset button on the back, it works, and you will not loose any stored information which caused the unit to go in the stand by mode.

or
Have you tried turning it off for an hour and then turning it back on. This happens to me quite often and leaving it off for a while ususally allows it to come back on. Also have you tried to press the TV/AV button on the remote as sometimes it switches to TV mode when its on standby and then standby won't work as its on TV mode and needs to go back on to AV mode. Basically just press the AV button on the digibox remote and then try standby.

or
if the batteries are removed and left for about 20 minutes before being replaced again, everything works as it should.
or
if any of the above suggestions does not work then you have to open the unit and on the main board of the tv there is a thin mini tube light like component called fuse you will have to replace that fuse .the fuse is very very cheap and you can easily get it at any electronics shop.and if still the unit does not work then there is a major fault in the power supply board and should be taken to the service center for diagnosing the fault that it is repairable or not.but i hope the above information provided will definately help you to solve your problem.

Un plug your sky decoder and tv for 30 min. First turn on the tv, to see what happen, if o.k. turn on the sky decoder. if that don´t work, see the sky control instructions, some time you have different setting in this controls to work the tv, the vhs, the dvd and the sky decoder and some time they have conflicts between them, so reset them and set them again.

Not sure if it is the TV or remote that is not working properly.

as part of isolating the issue:

1. have the SKY remote control replaced

or

2. grab a universal remote control (borrow or buy)

If the TV does not turn on, it can have an internal fault.
When the TV main chip detects a problem, like a faulty component on tv board, it will prevent TV from switching on, and the unit will stay in standby mode. When this happen it is said that the tv is in protect mode.
First ensure that the TV is really in protect mode, replacing remote batteries, and if possible trying to turning it on with the buttons on TV.
If the remote is faulty get a replacement remote here.
If it does not depend on the remote, and the tv is in protect mode, try unplugging tv power cord for one hour or so.
If this does not work it means the tv is faulty, call the number listed on the user manual to have it repaired.

Is your TV functioning normally using the buttons on the front of the set itself. If the TV will not power on with the power button on the set itself, then something is wrong inside the TV. If the set works fine from the front buttons but no longer responds to that remote, then the remote has gone bad you need to go through manual for remote to set it back to normal .

Try to remove the battery of your remote for few minutes. On your TV, there's a combination of button which you can use to reset the menu by pressing them simultaneously and from there, you can disable the standby. Another thing is you can use a different remote like universal remote to control the TV.

Sir,

It is fault which turned out to be Power Unit Capacitor C315 1000mFd 25volt, rated at 85 degrees centigrade. Its mounted near the heat sink. Look for a slightly domed top of capacitor C315 aluminium case. It should be absolutely flat.
Usual safety rules should be followed. In addition disconnect from the mains while working on the power panel. Give the large electrolytic capacitors time to discharge.

or else try this step.......

unplug it for 5 or 6 hours. Also try with remote control / read manual

thanks
good luck
