My screen is black at da top and bottom but its a pic in the middle.its just not showing the whole picture

hmmm. sounds like the screen might be damaged. You might have to get a new one. But before you do that I would try leaving it off for a while maybe a few hours or so and see if that helps.

CHECK C2C52 10 UFD @ 50 V OFF THE BASE OF Q2C51 ON THE SIGNAL PCB. 2. CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB.

If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contacts
in power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service.

read your manual and readjust the pic format. follow the format instructions. try them all 1 will work with your brand tv.

If this happen on DVD's it is because the DVD is formated to Widescreen, 16x9 size, your TV is 4x3 size. Unless the Menu has an option of Picture size, or Format, to set to Full screen. there is nothing you can do other than be sure to check the DVD for picture format size before purchasing.

If you are watching widescreen format movie or tv programming on a non-widescreen tv, that is how it will appear. The widescreen is a wider picture so to show it on a less wide screen, it has to shrink down to fit. and leave blank space top and botton.

Hi there! If picture is smaller top to bottom with blank section on top and bottom then check your aspect ratio settings. If blank at the bottom only the Bottom Y-Drive board may be faulty. If blank at the top The Top Y-Drive may be faulty. If blank on the Left (TOP TO Bottom) then the Right X-Drive Board and on the Right, the Left X-Drive Board. This not the correct Model #, this model is a DLP set and does not have picture tubes and associated lenses. Did you remove the mirror? Does your set have a fold in back? I suspect the back is not fully out in the correct viewing position.

YOUR TV HAS A RETRACE PROBLEM,FIND THE CAPACITOR 35V/100uf,1V/10uf AND COLDSOLDER FIRST THE MAINBOARD BEFORE YOU REPLACE THE COMPONENTS.

Locate Vertical Output device--replace w/OEM equiv.or better.
