My Panasonic time lapse video machine has sat in my cupboard doing its job of videoing my back garden for over ten years.
About every six months I change the tape.
It has now started bleeping continually.
I tried putting a new VHS tape in and the machine chewed it.
The message on the screen says E-3.
Should I get the video machine repaired or throw it away.
I think the E3 error code indicates an error with the tape drive mechanism. If it ate a tape, this would indeed be the problem. Time Lapse VCR's are not very popular anymore, everything has gone to digital. It would most likely cost you more to fix that VCR than to switch out to a digital recorder.
