I believe I found a pdf of an identical phone manual.
It's not provided by Binatone who seem to have no online support for that model but there was a hidden pdf from Marks and Spencer on a Binatone related website.
I included the link to download it HERE.
From what I can tell it's identical.

Try the following: press and hold the * button on the keypad to toggle the keypad lock. (There is a small icon that looks like a padlock on the key.) This works on the later X2i model.

For the user's guide, try: http://www.binatonetelecom.com/support/user-guides . Unfortunately, my browsers aren't working through the site properly. I see the X1i on Amazon but not on the Binatone site.

I have verge 500 twin, the handset just stopped responding to the base and i have not found the manual to check trobleshooting.
