On Excel 7, before remoing the usb (removable stick. what are the steps

It's always a good practice to safely remove your USB flash drive before unplugging it from your computer. This prevents data loss and extends the life of your external storage device. Removing a flash drive from your computer is very easy and doesn't take a long time to do.

Close all files you accessed from the flash drive. This is necessary for the device to be removed properly. Don't forget to save your files before closing the files. Right-click the "USB" icon marked with a checkmark. It is located on the bottom right of your taskbar. From the pop-up menu, click "Safely Remove Hardware." A small window will be displayed. Select the USB flash drive you want to unplug then click the "Stop" button. A confirmation window will appear. Click the appropriate hardware device, then click "OK." The "Safe to Remove Hardware" window will inform you that it's now safe to unplug the USB flash drive from your computer. Click "OK," then click "Close."

First, remove the memory and replace the old memory, does the help? Be sure to unplug and REMOVE battery. Second, do a system restore to before this problem. Is the memory the exact type that was removed? Open the Task Manager and look for a process "explorer.exe" select and click on "end process", in the task manager open file, New Task (run..) in Create new Task type: explorer, click on OK.

How do I use a memory stick I have never used one before

Stick it into any available USB port on our computer ... your computer will identify it and load the software. It will show up as a device. Next you will copy, drag or save files to it. You cama create folders ... your stick will act just like a disk drive. Never just unplug it. You will find a icon in your SYSTRAY which when clcked will say that is now safe tro remove your device.

Does this help?

How do you use usb sticks?

1. Plug thumb drive or USB into the USB port on the laptop.
2. Go to My computer and see if you see "Removable Disk" if yes then you double click here and you will see the contents of the USB drive.
3. load something from the laptop or PC to the usb just drag document or program from PC drive to usb drive.
4.Go to site called "Ehow" to gain more information.
Note of caution donot just pull USB from the usb port it will erase all the information and the USB drive will then be rendered usless.
5. Remove USB in the proper manner that is goto the "task bar and look for the "safe to remove hardware" icon or go to the "my computer" icon select the "removable disk" icon ( right click) and the select "eject" if the drive is busy or a message comes up that it is then closed all programs associated to it and the "Eject" the drive and remove it from the USB port.
I hope this helps. Have a good day!

Insert memory stick problem

Files on a flash drive can be corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flash drive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the flash drive you may need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive these WEB sites may help: -

The little Maxtor icon is red; what does this mean and how do I fix it? Thanks. [email protected]

That means that your last backup has failed. This could be caused by a number of issues and you should double click on the icon to open the program and check the log. Normally when you are attempting to backup a file that is locked by the OS such as a system file it will fail to copy. This could also happen if a file was moved or removed that was flagged to be backed up while the backup process was running or if you ran out of free space. Honestly, your software's error log will be the best thing to check for a solution.

Verbatim 1gb flash drive privacy zone lost space

In order to delete your privacy zone, you have to get the application once more. To get the software click here http://verbatim.com/support/support.cfm?open=Downloads ...ok so you will have to format your flash drive with the application, removing the privacy zone if you want, this will obiously DELETE ALL DATA ON THE DRIVE after the format has completed, you can then remove the application from you flash drive, if you still remember the privacy zone password, then all you have to do is just type it and you have acess to the privacy zone... anyone who needs assistance can contact me to [email protected] if you are confused, email me and i can also try to clear it up for you. MAKE SURE THAT YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT PRIVACY ZONE APPLICATION FOR YOUR FLASHDRIVE
