Cleaning A fried gave me her Salton Belgian Waffle Maker and I was wondering how you clean it. Do the grids come off to be washed? If I spray them with Pam, they will get sticky after a while and be useless.

Believe it or not but if it is a non-stick surface it can simply be brushed with cold water while the surface is still very hot. As long as you do this immediately after you remove the food. Try it with a pastry brush or similar.

Why does the waffle stick to the maker and how do you clean it???

Waffle pans are seasoned through usage. If you clean the pans too well, they won't work right. It's a bit like cooking with a cast iron skillet. If you wash it with soap and water, you strip the oils off of it, and it will rust.
Use some Pam or similar product when you get ready to make your waffles. Spray the lower pan, add your batter, and then spray the upper pan. Close the waffle maker up quickly after spraying the upper pan.
To clean off old material, it's easiest to scrape it off with a nylon scraper, taking care not to score the metal. A bit of the cooking spray will help on the most stubborn baked on material.
I personally prefer to use the batter that requires the addition of cooking oil, and I still spray the pans as well. This leaves me with a seasoned waffle making machine.
When you've finished with the waffle machine, wipe down the outer surfaces with warm soapy water, followed by clean water. Clean the pans the least you can. Usually, if the waffles are leaving little to no residue, we just wipe the pans clean with a paper towel, and then put it away.
By the way, the first waffle in any given batch seems to never be as good as the ones that follow. We call this one the "sacrificial waffle" and move on. Our dogs appreciate it!
Best regards. Hope that you found this somewhat helpful. --W/D--

How to clean the stove top waffler & keep waffles from sticking?

Best wasy to keep waffles from sticking is to spray the maker with a non stick food spray like "PAM". The other way is to increase the amount of oil in the batter, but that can affect the finished look.

They do not come out you - before cooking you need to spray with non stick cooking spray - after cooking you clean with soap and spong on counter DO not submerse into the water - keep the plug away from water - wipe clean with damp cloth

Waffles sticking in a Salton wm-4.

Like Pam For Grilling, myself. Plain, melted shortening may help, too; simply spoon some on, let it melt, and brush it around.

Does the salton waffle maker have teflon in it?

It very well may, did the box or manual say? If not and even if it did you will still need to either spay or brush with butter to keep waffles from sticking, that many surfaces with all those corners and ditches something will stick everytime unless you lightly coat with non stick something. let me know if this helps goofballlovers

Waring Pro Waffle maker

Just spray the grids before each use with something like Pam, or put a thin coat of oil on them. I found it's better to spray before each waffle so it won't stick.
