I bought a 2nd hand 27 inch Sony TV set that has an RMT-833 remote control unit but I never received the manual for the TV. This was ok for general use and I bought a set top box to get the new Digital Broadcast channels here in the UK, again, no problems. Then I bough a dvd recorder/player and that's when the fun started and that's why I need to find out what all the bells and whistles on the remote control do, so that I can select the right way of setting up the TV so that I can record programs from the tv on to my dvd recorder. Anyone help me locate the instructions for using the RMT-833 or a sony TV that uses it please ? Don't know the model number of the sony tv, only that its more than 5 years old, has a 27 inch screen and weighs about 50 Kg

I think you mean the RM 833 remote - if so try eBay as listings there suggest it works with Number: RM-833 Compatible with TV Models: KVX250,

This remote is designed to control the product that it originally came with. If the remote has buttons for other product types (TV, DVD, etc.), it can control only Sony branded versions of these products. Please note that this remote may not be able to control all models of these other Sony product types.
