Hi, Two possible reasons why your PC always hangs after you connect the usb drive, The usb drive contains viruses which are blocked by your PC's antivirus from entering the machine.Run a full scan of the usb drive with an updated anti-virus. Hi,
Download a latest 2.0 USB system driver for your laptop model.
Try another flash disk if it can read some other type, if still hangs means a prob in the system configuration.
Try also disk cleaning the C:/ and defragment it.

IBM ThinkPad T40: the problem is the following Modem HSP56 MR( Intel) doesnot work, Other devices:Nework Controller and unknown device doesn't work

Windows is missing the "device-drivers" for your network adapter and your modem.

On a different computer, access IBM's ThinkPad web-site, and download those device-drivers for your T40. Copy the device-drivers to either a CD-writable or to a USB memory-stick.

Move the media to your T40, and install from that removable media.

My t40 wont connect wireless I put in my wep key and it recognizes network when i make it my priority it disregards it and says it is reading the free wi-fi signal, but wont connect to either one.

When i press power ON button it comes on but will not boot, one of the green LED before the battery indicator LED will be ON but the LCD remain black. Sometimes when it tries to boot it hangs after working...

T40 hangs after boot up. Sometimes does not show anything on boot

it may be because of the cpu cooler is so full of dust that the fan cant go around and the cpu gets hot and the whole system freezes or something else is totaly screwed up
