Hello there,
When your refrigerator starts building up ice at the back of the refrigerator and is not getting cold, the problem actually is caused by defrost settings of the refrigerator.
The defrost settings is composed of the defrost thermostat, defrost heater and the defrost timer. If any of the three should go bad, then the refrigerator would begin to build up ice and not cool.
You will have to test the defrost thermostat, heater and timer. Mostly the problem used to be the defrost thermostat.Once you check the three and see that they are okay, then you need to refill the gas cylinder with refrigerant.
Clean the condenser coil, refill refrigerant and test the thermostat, heater and timer.
That would get your refrigerator up and running.
All the best.
