Sony kp-57wv600 I have a picture that is vivid red and blue. The green seems to be gone. Before this happened we did see green lines on the tv. Is there an adjustment needed? Do I need a new green tube? SP

When turned on the visual is blurry. the image color is only red. And when i adjust the color it doesn't work.

Your problem is the blue CRT or picture has gone bad, you will need to have the picture replaced, there are three tubes in this model rear projection television. Red, Green, and Blue. Replaceing the blue tube is the only option for normal operation to resume. It may be hard to find the tube, but you can try contacting this website for the part www.vdc.com, they manufacture and usually have stocks of sony picture tubes and rebuilt ones as well. The company's name is Video Display Corporation...

Ur convergence it dead.Do u know how to solders? Tries these websites. Tv repair World.com or Tvrepairkits.com have it.Buy a convergence kit used what in that kit ur tv well get back to normal.The shop will cost u $300 for parts and labors.

IF you have rgb (red,green,blue rca type jacks) use those.

that's very hard to fix, you need to monitor every test voltage pin if is in normal. try also replace crystal capacitor thats one monitor with the jungle IC.

you will need to replace the Green CRT your model uses the sony # 873365201 CRT. The other site I work for just got a shipment of Sony and RCA CRTs(Tubes) in on friday. I had the same problem except blue lines then all blue..I needed a blue crt tube..........so I'm assuming you will need a green crt tube

i too have 57wv600 and your problem is same as mine VOLTAGE withen tube is off ...this is common problem sony knows full well and will not tell us this voltage can be adjusted with a philips screwdriver i had blue lines then solid blue then shut off...7 blinking lights ...went to this site followed directions (too simple)and now i have perfect picture.serviceman said i needed new tube.b.s. ...so never change your tube it is not the prob!!!!!!!....go to www.somelifeblog.com/2007/06/sony-projection-tv-red-line-repair.html read post(comment) near bottom of page by paul t dated 12/26/2007 and instructions on how to remove our front panel is fully explained ...a screwdriver will fix your problem I guarantee it.....
