Wertheim 6035, lost manual, where is button to restart carpet head?

There is a hole at the back of the powerhead near the height adjustment lever. Just put something slender in the hole like a screw driver to reset.

How do I change belt in power head? Is there a

There could be 2 different ways to access the belt on the kenmore line of powerheads...

1) turn the powerhead over so that the bottom is facing up. IF there are screws on the bottom, remove them. There should be 2 either at the back where the rear wheels are, or one under the elbow, and one midway at the front under the lifter wheels. remove the screws, and there should be two tabs on the sides to remove the top cover. OR 2 tabs at the back of the unit near the screws to remove the top cover.

2) and this is the more common powerhead...

remove the light cover for the powerhead by pressing at the two sides and pulling the cover up. sometimes a screwdriver to pry open a little will help.
Remove the light bulb.
Remove the two screws.
Turn the head over and pry at both sides to pull the top cover off.

Good luck with either one.

Need to replace powerhead belt in sears canister vac - cannot get head apart - plz advise

If you press on either side of the raised top light cover it will come off. Then you will be able to see the light bulb and two screw heads. Remove the two screws and the top cover of the power brush will lift off and you will be able to access the belt. You can find this belt you need here:

Kenmore whispertone 100 model 116. powerhead no

  • The motor / cord compartment cover must be removed to access the cord reel. There are four screws that hold the cover to the chassis. Two of the screws are found under the cord-retractor-foot-pedal on the top back of the canister. To access these screws the pedal must be removed. To do this, press the pedal down and look (from the top) for the four plastic clips that attach/hold the pedal hinges to the cover. There are two at the end corners and two in the middle. Using a long, thin flat-head screw driver (or similar instrument) press each clip to unhook/popout the hinges. Note: the foot pedal spring will also come out when the pedal is removed.

The other two screws are found under the curved hinges of the vaccum bag compartment cover. To access these, lift the cover as if accessing the vacuum bag. Keep pulling the cover back until the hinges release from the motor cover. Don't worry, it is disigned to do this and will not break but it may require a little force. A long phillip-head screw driver will be needed to access and remove each screw

Royal 3050 power head does not run

The sounds like powerhead motor either burned up, or the belt broke and got tangled in the turning motor shaft. Pull the bottom off the power head and look for a curled up rubber band. If you find one, it's the belt.

If it's the motor, you won't hear it running when you turn the powerhead on.

I need a new hose for my Electrolux central vac

Do you need a new powerhead too or only the hose? If you need a new powerhead than I would recommend looking at the Imperium Pro Elite Attachment set. It is an excellent quality powerhead and hose. If you only need a new hose than you will need to contact the Aerus because they will be probably be the only company who can sell you a hose that wil be compatible with your powerhead. Their website is http://www.aerusonline.com/products/

Replacing the powerhead motor

depending on which powerhead you have the screw may be under the decal on top of the powerhead. you should be able to feel an indent above the motor. most of the other heads do not have a "hidden screw".
