The ice maker not working: ---

Its the problem of water inlet valve. It's a dual valve. This valve has two tubes in it. One for water dispenser and one for ice maker chamber. The one side of valve is working, but other side of the valve is not working. The valve is got stuck in one position

How do you take the ice makes out of a whirlpool conquest?

Remove philips head screw about halfway back underneath ,then there are two 1/4" head screws; one directly behind the head and one tward the back, then unpug 4-wire plug and it will fall into your hand. Good Luck

I purchased a new whirlpool conquest and have had on for two days. i have water coming out of the water dispenser but still no ice production. There is no water in the chute leading to the ice maker. ...

Maybe it won't call for water until it goes through the cycle. Try putting water in the ice mold and see if it starts working when it freezes and dumps the ice. Make sure the water line is open by swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then the water dispenser will send water to the ice maker and you'll know the valve and line works.
