For some reason my GE GBVH6260 washer cycles are getting hung up on either the wash or rinse cycle. Some days it will stay stuck in the wash cycle & some days it will stay stuck in the rinse cycle for hrs. I have to stop the washer & start the cycle over again & then sometimes it will run thru the cycle properly & sometimes it will continue to get stuck. What is going on with my washer & how do I fix it?

Most likely its your water inlet valve..(cold side is not letting water in). Very common problem that usually manifests during rinse cycle since rinse uses always cold water.
According to your model # , part # is WH13X10023

SOURCE: Matayg Atlantis Washing Machine gets stuck in the Rinse Cycle.

This is the sign of a bad timer. It is not sensing how long it has been in the cycle. The timer is not advancing. Replace the timer.

SOURCE: Washer squeals during wash & rinse cycles.

It sounds like you're brake stator & rotor is worn and merit replacement, it would also be prudent to replace the thrust bearing as well since you'll be in the same area for the repair. The way to verify is to place the unit in spin & allow it to reach speed then open the lid. If it squeals then the repair would need to performed, if it does not then further troubleshooting would be needed. Hope this helps... Bill

SOURCE: ge front load washer won't go into rinse cycle.

Check the cold water hose. My brand new machine had this behavior until I discovered a kink in the cold water hose - works great now.

GE GUD27ESSM1SS stackable washer dryer stuck in spin cycle

A top-load washer tub is usually supported by four suspension rods. If one of the suspension rods becomes dislodged or breaks, the control board may stop the spin cycle several times to try to balance the clothes. Suspension rods will often come in a set of four and it is recommended to replace all four of the rods at the same time to reduce uneven wear.

GE Washer stuck in wash cycle and not draining.

humming is usually the result of bad motor windings , are u saying it washes for 20 minutes or just stays on that cycle without doing any washing? a non moving drum can be a bad motor coupler or belt if belt driven.

When washer done rinse cycle lights flash and washer stops doesn't rinse and spin

Hello
Try reseting the machine.Unplug power for 60 seconds.
Plug back in,then turn knob to reset. Then try another load of wash or finish the one that is stuck before rince cycle.

It is possible the control timer is going bad.

Ge super capacity plus washer. Mod wlse3150a0ww. no matter what setting it always starts on rinse then goes to spin.It also will not drain.

If the washer is stopped mid cycle it will default to rinse and spin. It will then get stuck in a loop. It is necessary to reset the electronics. Unplug the electrical cord from the unit. Wait 30 seconds. Turn the cycle selector all the way around clockwise. Turn it again and set it on any setting accept rinse or spin. Plug the unit in. It should begin a new cycle and be working normally.
