Check your condensation hose for leak or the pan may have a crack in it or it runs too much for the water to disapate

Why does my haier dehumidifier leak on bottom

Are you emptying the pan regularly? A dehumidifier takes the moisture out of the air by condensing it into a catch pan usually located at the base of the unit.

Why is my Kenmore Energy Star 50 pint model 251-50501012 dehumidifier leaking water after I disconnected the drain hose

If you reconnect the drain hose, make sure that it lays flat from the dehumidifier and into the sump pump hole. I did that and it solved my problem of water leaking onto the floor.

How do I install a hose so this humidifier drains automatically?

Look at the drain pan, it might have a garden hose connection that you might have to knock out, mine is not the same model but it may be similiar, and then run it to a floor drain or such. Good Luck

Our machine is collecting water but I have a drip coming from the bottom onto the floor? It is coming from the behind the collection area?

This could be from a couple things, first is that as units get a little older, the drains and pans start to clog because as your removing water from the air, your also removing dirt. Sometimes this dirt builds up on the bottom of the pan and over time, it clogs the drain. This will allow the pan to overflow and spill over on the side that has the lowest spot. One way to tell is to shim up the back about an 1/8th or an inch. If it leaks from the front now, your drain is clogged. If it drains fine and the drip in the back goes away, you have corrosion in your pan and you'll need to take it apart an clean it, aluminum tape it, and silicone it to get back to full operation.

Water leaks out of the bottom of the humidifier and the bucket does not fill up. The water just leaks out.

Based upon my experience with the same problem on my Kenmore 54701 last summer: The condensate water collects in a plastic pan below the coils. This pan has a single drain hole where the water flows down into the bucket. When I suddenly found water puddling on the floor instead of in the bucket, I opened up the unit, and I found that the collection pan's drain hole had become blocked by "bioslime". I cleaned out the goo from the drain hole, and the problem was solved.

My dehumifier is leaking. The collector pan is fine. I took the covers off and could not detect anything. It is pretty simple...air blows by the coils, condenses, collects and runs into the pan. Looks...

TRY IT ON LOW FAN SPEED AND SEE IF IT LEAKS , MAKE SURE IF THERE IS A HOSE OR SMALL DRAIN PAN UNDER COIL   THAT IT IS CLEAN AND FREE OF DIRT .SOMETIMES ON HIGH WATER IS BLOWN PAST DRAIN PAN AND DRIPS ON FLOOR , THIS MAY BE A BAD DESIGN. IF THERE IS A FILTER CLEAN IT

My Whirlpool Gold dehumidifier is making the circuit breaker switch off. I used the sweeper to clean all of the dust from the vents but it continues to make the breaker switch off.

Take the unit outside and wash the coil out with a garden hose. Careful not to get water on the controls. Water will not hurt the motor or compressor as long as you keep it unplugged. Allow the unit to completely dry before running it again.

Our Whirlpool gold dehumidifier is leaking water. We have checked the water reservoir and it is in correctly and continues to collect water. But, water is seaping onto our floor from the dehumidifier.

Do you use a hose with your dehumidifier? Could it be leaking? I have two machines in my basement. I use hoses on both. I had to do funny stuff to make the hoses not leak on the plastic 'blown' tanks. Even the cap that originally came with the machines were leaking before I started to use the hoses.

Check for holes in the tank as well.

Dehumidifier leaking onto floor.

You should clean off the condensor coils with a vaccum and soft brush. Also, check up inside the area where the condensate drips into the collection reservoir (or goes directly into a hose attachment discharge) to see if something is partially obstructing the water flow and is dripping onto the floor, etc.

You might find that you've got some buildup of dust, dirt, and some other gunk that is mis-directing the water (condesate) that the dehumidifier is drawing out of the air.

Lastly, check the unit to see if it's level, but frankly, I highly doubt that's the issue, based on the 5+ years of good working service for you.

So long as the unit is still running and keeping the humidity in check, (if the above steps don't resolve the issue), I'd continue using it until it finally quits running, but I'd put a plastic boot/shoe mat under it to catch the small puddles of water.

The dehumidifier should draw the small puddles, so it'd be less expensive to get a $4 boot mat than dropping another $240+ for a new unit, as your's seems to be working fine, aside from the occaissional puddle issue.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
